DAQCard not responding to first IRQ level on Windows XP

After installing DAQCard-6024E on my computer, test resources or test panels in Measurement & Automation Explorer displays an error message: "The device not responding to first IRQ level, ...".
In the Device Manager the DAQCard is assigned to the same IRQ as the Cardbus controller. Normaly a ISA device must have its own IRQ, but I cannot change the IRQ for the DAQCard. My computer is a desktop computer, but one of our customers is having the same problem on a Notebook computer.

I have solved the problem. I got a new XP driver from the supplier and installed that.
Is it possible to get the same problem by upgrating a Notebook computer to XP?

Hello;

Regarding your second question, the answer is yes. Also, on the notebook computer, you need to make sure you are using the native Microsoft socket driver for the PCMCIA socket. Sometimes, Notebook vendors install third party socket drivers. NI doesn't asure NI-DAQ to work with any other socket driver other than the native Microsoft one.

Hi,

I have DELL INSPIRON 5100 and I am trying to make working my DAQCard 6024E , but it gives me following error on MAX Device Test Panel: The Device is not responding to the First Level IRQ. Would you like to continue anyway? Please see attached file for IRQ allocation on my Laptop.

What kind of drivers you requested from DELL? Can you please share those drivers so I can try out for my laptop.

Thanks,
