I reinstall Windows XP. I downloaded NI-DAQmx to a fresh HDD. I get the following (attached)
How can fix it now?

Here's what I get when I try to repair (Error 1603):

Ok, I now tried un-installing DAQmx 9.4 and installing 9.2.2. I mind that 9.2.2 used to work just fine on this very hardware.
And I get problem with MIO again! What can be the problem?

Do you have a logfile from your clean install (two posts back)? If you have that please post the log. If not, please re-run the installer with logging enabled (see gaving's first post) and attach the log.

I gave up on trying to find the problem that MIO installer is running into.
What I decided to try is to install NI-DAQ as the 1st thing on a fresh XP SP image. It did work. I did install all the other drivers and patches after.
I wonder if the problem related to hardware driver updates which is particular for the given chipset (i945G), since other (different) machines didn't experience the problem.
