I am intending to buy either of the topic's card. However, I cannot really see a main difference between them (from what I can tell from the data sheet) besides the price: $529 (PCI-6013) vs. $899(NI 6034E).
Could you point out some differences to consider? (B series vs. E series)
Thanks a lot,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your post and I hope your well.
Good question! They are very similar indeed. Im not 100% sure - on paper they are similar. In the following knowledgebase article it also notes they are very similar. "While the NI 6013, NI 6014, and the DAQPad-6015 are similar to devices in the E Series line, they are actually part of a new line called Basic Multifunction."
It goes on to say,
Are there any features that the NI 6013, 6014, and 6015 do not support?
Since
these are "Basic" Multifunction devices, there are some features that
are not supported in order to reduce the cost to the end user. In the
table below, an "X" means that the feature is supported; a "----" means the feature is NOT supported.
Note: The DAQPad-6015 must have the Mass Termination option to support SCC.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | NI 6013/6014/6015 | E Series |
SCC Support | X | X |
SCXI Support | ---- | X |
RTSI Bus | ---- | X |
RDA Support | X | X |
External Metal Shield | ---- | X |
NRSE and Diff Modes | X | X |
RSE Mode | ---- | X |
Temperature Sensor (for calibration) | ---- | X |
Here is the link:
How Do the NI 6013, NI 6014, DAQPad-6015 and DAQPad-6016 differ from E Series Devices?
It explains more detail about the differences... and hence the cost difference.
Hope this help.
