Error 214220712

Hello,

I developed an application for a customer.  It has been running successfully for years.  The other day the attached error occurred (Error -2147220712 occurred at DAQmx create channel).  We reinstalled the drivers and swapped out the DAQ card.

Any ideas on what this could be and what I should do?

Thanks

Dan Shangraw, P.E.

That error code yeilds this error description for me:

Error -2147220712 occurred at an unidentified location

Possible reason(s):

MAX: (Hex 0x80040318) Internal error: The client has failed to connect to the configuration server, possibly because the server is too busy or has run into a communication error. Please note the steps you performed that led to this error and contact technical support.

 MAX might have had a corrupted database.  Hopefully somebody from NI will chime in on how to better diagnose this issue.

I guess I'll chime in.  Most common cause of this error is that the driver has become corrupt.  Best way to fix this would be to repair your DAQmx drivers.  I know you said you reinstalled the drivers.  If you didn't do the "repair" option to do this, I would recommend trying that.  Also, it could be an issue where resetting your MAX data base might fix this.  Go ahead and try doing this.  Here is Knowledge Base which talks about how to do it.  Go ahead and give these two things a shot and let us know if that doesn't solve the issue.
