How do I enable DIO with a high in Test Panel?

For the internal 50K pullup use a 4.7K tied from the input pin to DGND. This will pull down the input to ~0.4V (4.7K/54.7K)*5V, which is a logic low . Not knowing the specs of your PLC outputs, lets assume a 5V signal. The DAQ card input will draw approx 1mA from the PLC output. (5V/4.7K).

I think that you are right on! I tried it with a 8K resistor and it worked. I had originally tried it with the 50K value that the book showed for a Pull-up resistor and it apparently was too much to pull it down to ground. Thanks!
