How to remotely manage DAQ tasks and SCXI modules?

Hi there, I have a system consists of a PCI4070, a PCI6024E, several SCXI1102 and a SCXI1130. I wonder if I can remotely view/create DAQ tasks and configure SCXI modules. My PC and the host PC of those devices are in the same LAN, I tried to create new in Remote Systems in MAX but it could not find any hardware. What should I do? Many thanks.

Please be noticed:

A remote system(in MAX) denotes a real-time target that can be managed or configured over the network while a network device does not run a real-time operating system. Remote systems are not the same as network devices. A network device is any device that is accessible over an Ethernet or wireless connection. Such devices may be accessible by multiple computers and do not run a real-time operating system.

For your application, you can consider to use the VI server to run a VI to driver your devices.

Hi Barry,

If you only need interactive access to the configuration (not programmatic access), you should also consider Remote Desktop Connection or VNC.
