Installer Troubleshoot Help: Cannot find NI-DAQmx 8.7.1 distribution disk 1

Hello, I am trying to build an installer in v8.5.1 that includes the following:

- DAQmx 8.7

- the runtime engines 7.0, 7.1.1, 8.2.1 and 8.5.1,

- legacy support for Traditional NI DAQ 7.4.4 (legacy)

- MAX 4.4.1

However it gets stuck and prompts me to find "NI-DAQmx 8.7.1 distribution disk 1".  I have used all three device driver CDs and none of them has this distribution.  So the installer just stops at this point and I cannot proceed.

Also I had no problem building this installer in v8.2, but that was about a year ago.  I have even tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling v8.5.1 but nothing seems to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi nilblog,

Thanks for posting on the NI Discussion Forums!  I understand you are having issues including NI-DAQmx 8.7.1 in your installer.  Do you still have LabVIEW 8.2 installed on your machine?  Can you successfully build an installe from a LabVIEW 8.2 project and include DAQmx?

A couple great resources with missing distribution issues are the following two KnowledgeBase articles.

Why Do I Get A "Missing Distribution" Error When Trying to Build an Installer from LabVIEW 8.0?
How Do I Stop the Missing Distribution Notification Each Time I Build An Installer?

When you build your installer, verify the source location of NI-DAQmx.  It looks like it is looking for a particular CD (from your previous post).  One option would be to download the driver to your hard drive, and tell the installer to point to this location (via the browse button).
