Is it possible to run PCI 6110 , or similar card, of a external PCI chassis?

I am trying to set up a system with 4 NI-PCI 6110S cards, and most computers do not have the requisite amount of slots. So I would like to use an external PCI expansion chassis. Would this work?

I would appreciate any input on the matter.

Hello,

In general, PCI expansion devices should be "transparent" to the computer. That means that the computer does not "know" that the extra slots are different from the internal ones.

Therefore, any PCI boards that you install in an external chassis should work exactly the same as when you install them in the computer's normal slots.
