Jack screw part number clarification: difference between 187949-01 and 187949-10

Solved!
Go to solution
We bought some jack screws, Mfr P/N  187949-10, but the parts come in labeled 187949-01. What is the difference between -10 and -01. Are the parts the same but just differ in the packaging quantity? Thanks.

Hi Mwong,

Thanks for the post and I hope your well today - welcome to the NI Forums.

I am sorry to see you haven't received any support yet.

Looking at the ni.com website, here, I found this information,

Specifications and Manufacturers for Board Mating Connectors

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/8ECF4BAD615F18BC8625648400521E97

(1) 4 Piece Jackscrew Kit for Connecting Screw latching Cables 187949-01

(10)  4 Piece Jackscrew Kit for Connecting Screw latching Cables 187949-10

Therefore the differences being between the 01 and 10 is the number of kits.

However the link here,

Specifications and Dimensions of Jacksocket Screws Used on 68-Pin Board-Mount Connectors

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/43771DBD89FADB7B86256BC90053EC08

"The kit contains 40 screws and washers (enough to convert both ends of 10 cable assemblies). The part number for the kit is 187949-01"

But I guess it comes down to were you expecting 1 or 10 sets?

I hope this helps,

Kind Regards

Good morning,
I just bought the kit 187949-01but it is not compatible with PCI-6221 cards.

I will need 20 Jack screws. Could you tell me the Jack screw reference for the PCI-6221 card?
Thank you
