Labview does not see A/D

I am changing the location of my daqcard ai-16e-4 from a laptop to my desktop computer. I am using labview 6i, and have upgraded NI-Daq to 6.9.3(the latest)to accomplish this I have installed a socket on the desktop for the Daqcard......My problem, Windows98 sees the card(A/D), but NI-Daq does not. All the refreshing in the world does not help.(it works well on the laptop)I have posted this problem previously with a lot less detail, but nothing suggested helped.

Hello;

I'm assuming you are using a PCI/PCMCIA adaptor to have the DAQCard working on your desktop machine.
If that is the case, there is no guarantee that NI-DAQ will be able to communicate with the driver for the bus adaptor.
The best way to go about that is to purchase a counterpart of your DAQCard, in the PCI bus format, to connect to your desktop.
