NI 6120 malfunctioning

Hello everybody

We are using NI 6120 board to acquire a rect signal generated by a signal generator. The nominal time fall is of about 100 ns but the acquired signal reaches a steady state of 0 volts only after several milliseconds! Furthermore the acquired signals has unreal negative values!

The same signal has been acquired by using an oscilloscope and seams to reach steady state really earlier than what reported by the NI 6120 acquired signal.
You can see a chart presenting the issue in the file attached to this post.

Do you know the reason for such bed board behaviour? How can I fix it?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Regards,
Andrea

In the attached file, FS and GS refere to the used input channel configuration.
Yellow signal is that acquired by the oscilloscope, the other 2 signals are those acquired by NI 6120

Hi,

the behaviour you have noticed could be caused by analog filter. Refer to pag 3 of:

https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/ni-6115-6120-specs/resource/371397d.pdf

The filter could be software disabled.

Ok, we will try and disable it...

We are still working on the issue, it is not clear what the problem source is...

Kind regards,

Andrea
