NI 9234 Data Acquisition using a Kistler 8704B500

Hi, 

this may be a stupid question but I could not find any answers regarding this question. 

I have got a Kistler 8704B500 sensor (http://www.intertechnology.com/Kistler/pdfs/Accelerometer_Model_8702B500_8704B500.pdf) and a C-Series Module NI 9234. Can I use them together? 

I'm a bit worried because of the required current seems to be 4mA. Could you please clarfiy this for me? If not I can use different accelerometers but I first wanted to check!

I've taken a look at the spec for that sensor. Is it IEPE type do you know? It doesn't specifically say.

Either way - if it requires a 4mA excitation current (which the specification states), then it's not going to work with the 2mA supplied by the 9234.

I'd pick something with a lower excitation current (or supply separately, i.e. from a current supply module)
