NI 9264 simultaneous signals

Hello,

Does anyone know if the module NI 9264  for the CDAQ is capable of generating simultaneous analogic signals? I need to control two separate devices at the same time, and am looking for options tom do this. I've got a CDAQ chassis, so if this module isn't capable of doing this, is there any other model I could use?

Ali,

9264 is capable of generating simultaneous analog outputs and, from what you have written,  you can use it in your application.

Hi Ali84,

 The NI 9264 has a dedicated digital to analog converter on each output, so this device is perfectly suited for simultaneous output.

When controlling devices, just be careful of the power consumption of the controlled device. The NI 9264 can only output a maximum of 4mA per channel, never exceeding 16mA for the total module.

That said, this module is suitable for your application.

Thanks for the answers. However, I think this module may not be able to generate a 2KHz square signal, so I wonder if there is any other module with at least 2 channels, capable of simultaneous sampling at a higher rate so that I can generate frequencies of 2KHz or more? (Preferably more)

Hi Ali84,

If you want to generate a square signal I would suggest using a digital output module, like the 9401 which is a 8 Channel Digital Output (sink/source) that can go up to 100MHz.
