NI-DAQmx 8.3.0: error code 0x80004005

Hi guys, when i try to export my configurations in MAX i get this error:

Date:  12/19/2007 2:01:52 PM
User:  Administrator
File:  C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\abc\abc.ini
MAX version:  4.2.0.3001

Exporting...
========
NI-DAQmx 8.3.0:
  Ctr0 rotary encoders
  LimitSwitch

*** Export FAILED ***
NI-DAQmx 8.3.0:  error code 0x80004005

And it seems like i can't export everything at the same time (Tasks and devices) by using the 'Check all' option (getting the same error). I've been trying to find relevant description of the error code but to no avail. Have anyone got this before?

Hi ATMA,

Which file type have you tried (ini, txt, or nce)? What happens when you try a different file type?

Are you trying to export to a network drive or to your local machine? Apparently, MAX 4.2 has issues with exporting to a network drive. The workaround would be to export locally and then copy/move the file to the network location.

If these steps don’t help, your Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) may be corrupt. I would suggest repairing it by selecting the Control Panel option to Add or Remove programs, choosing National Instruments Software. When the list populates, select NI Measurement & Automation Explorer, then Repair.

Feel free to repost if you encounter further difficulties.

I've got it. I re-installed MAX and it's ok now. Thanks Mark.
