NI USB-6009 Analog Output Anomaly

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I am using an NI USB-6009 device to control a pressure control valve through the NI board's analog output terminals.  The user manual (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371303n.pdf page 17) clearly states that the board can generate voltage outputs from these two ports (AO0 and AO1) of 0 V to 5 V.  However, when I am setting up and testing the DAQ connection in LabVIEW and I put a voltmeter to the analog output, the voltage on the meter reads between 0 V and 11.2 V.  Any idea what is going on here?

Thank you for your help,

Richie

How is everything connected and terminated?

How much current are your valves drawing?

Hi altenbach,

Found out from the lab manager that this one was modified from manufacturer specs.  So this is solved.

Thank you for your help though!
