Thermocouple Input

Hi,

I have a PXIe-6356 X series plugged into a SCC-68.

I have on board reference activated and a task created.

I have a T type thermocouple on ai0.

The temperature reading is wild all over the place, negative, 100's of degree's.

I have also tried with the onboard reference configured as a CJC task and DAQmx voltage/temp reads to no avail.

I've read search results til my eyes are dry...

Any pointers would be appreciated!

The SCC-68 has a built-in thermocouple for compensation. It must be connected to AI7. Connect pin 71 to pin 23 and pin 70 to pin 57 (on the screw terminals) and ensure that the board is self-powered (using the self-power switch) or has a good external power supply.

See page 15 of the SCC-68 manual here.

Your DAQ task must also be configured to handle the CJC. I don't currently have a system in front of me to write up the steps for that.
