USB-6008 shows up in device manager, but not in MAX or Labview

I am using 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate and want to use a USB-6008 in LabVIEW 8.5.1. The device is showing up under Data Acquisition Devices in Windows Device Manager. The light on the device is blinking, but the device does not show up in Measurement & Automation Explorer 8.7.1. am I missing something?

Doubt it.

First, check the easy stuff... refresh the device list in MAX and see if it comes up there.  I'm guessing you've already tried this, but it never hurts to check.

My bet is that it's a corrupted MAX database.  This happens from time to time.  Usually when I see it, the "Dev1" still shows up in LabVIEW if you plop down a DAQ Device constant or control.

There's tools and processes to clear out and start over with a fresh database, but in my experience the easiest way to fix it is simply upgrade or reinstall MAX.
