USB-6009 differential input isolation?

When a USB-6009 is in differential mode are the inputs (A0+/-, A1+/-) isolated?

I need to monitor an AC line voltage as well as output voltage and current on a DC power supply.

Obvously the AC and DC voltaged will be scaled. I am planning on using a shunt for the DC current.

I was hoping to get away with a simple resistor network to scale the voltages.

I am kind of leary of just hooking it up and trying it as I do not want to damage anything.Smiley Tongue

Hi RTSLVU,

Unfortunately, the analog inputs on a USB-6009 are not isolated.  If you want to bring down the voltages, I would suggest an attenuator.  The KnowledgeBase linked below has more information on measuring voltages outside the range of the DAQ card.

I hope this helps!
