USB-6218 +5V Pin

Hi, I am using the USB-6218.

I have an digital circuit that I want to monitor. It has an open collector output. Am I okay to use the +5V on the DAQ to connect a pull up resistor to?

Also is it still ok to use this +5V pin for the pull up if i want to monitor this digital signal using an Analog Input?

Hi Daniel,

It should be okay to use the 5V rail in both cases.  Just make sure you use a high enough resistance for your pull up so that you don't draw too much current when you drive your digital circuit's outputs low.
