control pxi 1010 chassis with mxi controller

I have an old pxi1010 chassis that I want to put back into service.  It was originally run with an embedded pc controller, but the embedded pc is so old that I can't do much with it.  I would like to be able to control the chassis and its scxi and mxi daq with an external pc (maybe laptop).  Can I run the pxi1010 with a mxi controller?

Hi,

Controlling the PXI chassis with an external PC using MXI will not be a problem.  The only thing that might be an issue would be the BIOS.
