Hello,
I hope you are doing fine today. I am looking into the problem. I have attached a vi with this message. What i have tried is to introduce a trigger into the program. This should make it more reliable in making sure that both task start at same time. (select trigger acc. to your hardware settings)
Let me know if it works. If it does not can you please tell me more about external timing source? does it independently goes on or does it only starts after your program starts ?

hi,
that's strange, you're solution works. in fact what I found strange is that I've already tried a solution with using a ao/starttrigg as a trigg, but it doesn't work, I use it on a retriggerable counter pulse generation. you'll find here the code I was using, when I run the programme I have an error, which tell that I could not use ao/starttrigg with a counter.
but with your code it works, could you tell me why it doesn't work on retriggerable code?
anyway I have my solution now,
thanks a lot.

Hi,
I am glad it the solution works in your application. I have been trying to replicate the problem here and apperently i am not seeing any errors. If you would like me to further investigate could you please send me the screen shot of the error.
