MAX is only for NI DAQ cards. Didn't the vendor provide its own utility?

Thank your reply.

I am a CONTEC software engineer. The user want to use CONTEC cards such as AIO, DIO in NI MAX.

I would appreciated it if you can tell me the solution.

Your card would have to use the DAQmx driver. Since it doesn't, it cannot be recognized by MAX.

Dennis,

I think it's possible as you pointed out back in 2010 on this thread.

Tony,

Look at the NI-VISA Driver Wizard. You can use this to get some third party hardware to appear in MAX. Hope this helps.

I don't think you will be able to get all the features that you would from a NI device, but you should have access to VISA Test Panels to control the device.

But as anyone who has used the driver wizard can tell you, the wizard removes the vendor's driver so all of the device functions have to be rewritten from scratch.

I've seen the wizard recommended time after time and the user often ends up with nothing.

Valid point.

But he's the software engineer for CONTEC, so he seems like the right person for the job. 😉

Unless the end user wants to use the DAQ functions in MAX such as the test panels, create tasks, etc.
