sh68-68-EP pin orientation

Solved!
Go to solution

Based on the manual https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/pci-pcie-pxi-pxie-usb-62xx-features/resource/m-series-user-manu...

and the wire map http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/DE2D842E545DE64B86256F78006EAB1A

I AM CONFUSED!!!

Can the colors on the wire map be trusted?

Is the manual referenced looking at the connector or from behind?

Hi Mlansbergen,

I have confirmed that the wire map in the KnowledgeBase matches the specifications for the SH68-68-EP cable. Your picture of the pinouts is also accurate, with the exception that the top left 35 is actually pin 34. The pins are labeled as you look at the connector.

Are there any indications that lead you to believe this is not the case? I hope I helped ease some of the confusion. Have a great day!

When I ohmed out the cable, I did not get what I expected. I will try again.  I may have been premature in my request for help. I will update this discussion with my progress.

Thank you for the prompt response.
