Thanks for the good link. I will try to update the DAQmx and, when I get hold of another DAQ card, I will try that as well.

It may help to insert a DAQmx Control Task.vi with its Action set to Commit just prior to the sequence structure holding the DAQmx Start.vi in the third reply (by Chris).  This will force much of the DAQmx setup to be completed before executing the Start and maybe help the two tasks to begin closer together in time.
