Can I make a straight line connection between 2 offset nodes without adding any mitres?

I wish to make a straight line connection between 2 offset pads, but can't seem to do it without getting 45 degree mitres in the trace. I've tried manual line placement, follow me and connection machine. Is there some way to turn off automatic mitre?

Okay, I figured this out myself.  I just examined the co-ordinates of the source and destination pads, then entered those co-ordinates into the edit properties for any trace segment on that net that I wanted to eliminate. The new segment appeared in a straight line between the 2 pads. Then I simply deleted the other undesired segments.
