Database Manager Issues - New Family failure

College professor here. Half my class is having this issue, half is not. I have asked them to create a new Family under the User Database. In this case, create an MSOE family under User Database / Transistors so they can import some 45nm transistors. The new family shows up in the family tree as expected for all students (and me - MOSE_1 for example).

But - when switching to the Components tab - the new Library is not shown for half the class (and me, MSOE_1 in this case). Which makes it impossible to import the components since there is no family to select 

As you can see here - it worked once for me (MSOE) but no longer works.

I have tried in both user and administrator mode thinking it is a permissions issue - but that yields the same results.

Searches here and online have not turned up any similar issues.

Using 14.2, that happens to me sometimes. I would save my design and close the program and re-open it and it would magically appear.

How are you importing the 45nm transistors? From where and what format?

You do not import your part into the family through database manager however you can select the part in the Design page and select Save Component to Database in which you can select your Family. I am guessing you have no parts saved in MSOE_1 and MSOE_2 which is why you don't see it in the Components tab.
