Hi,
I wonder if there is any way to have more than 8 inputs on Digout (e.g, entering two 8bit numbers for adding ) in multisim.
Thanks

Hi Hannaneh,
I'm afraid I don't completely understand your issue, if you could give me steps to recreate your problem, and maybe some images to illustrate it, this would be helpful in allowing me to troubleshoot further.
Kind regards,

Hi, I am sorry that I wasn't clear enough. I need to add/subtract 2x8 bit numbers. So i need 16 inputs(8 for each number). I know multisim supports for 8 inputs. Is there anyway (except using switch/direct connection to Vcc and Ground) to extend it to 16 inputs to enter these two numbers?
Many thanks

Hi Hannaneh
I'm not entirely sure what you mean. If you mean you want to modify an exisiting IC, then you cannot do this. However you can create your own if you understand the logic, using the existing ICs to acheive this. For example you can acheive the adding of 8 bit numbers like this
I have attached the file with this circuit design for your examination.
I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for taking your time. It helped a lot 🙂

How would I turn this into an adder/subtractor circuit?

Hi, I was wondering if you could please explain a way to do a difference between 2 numbers of two digits using a substractor please
