Multisection parts in subcircuits

I've had a lot of troubles with multsection parts in subcircuits but now I have a new one.

When I copy and paste the SC for replication most often the multisection part in the new subcircuit has the same refdes as the original subcircuit.  That can't be right.  If I export to UB, only one of the parts with the same refdes goes through, though no error messages are given.

I am able to go through and rename them, but it takes forever.  The rename is very slow, and even using the spreadsheet I am unable to rename more than one section at a time.  I have hundreds of these to do and as design changes are made I'll be replicating the subcircuits many times.  This is not a workable process.

Any ideas?

I re-numbered the entire design and that seemed to clear up many of the conflicts, but I still have 3 different parts labeld U11.

Hi,

Can you send us the design file to investigate this problem?

I saved a copy before I started manually fixing the problem.  It's a very large design and the customer is VERY sensitive about it.  Can you decrypt with AxCrypt?  If so I will upload the encrypted file to you and communicate the decryption key to you directly.

Thanks.

I don't have AxCrypt, but I see there is a download for it. If you go to ni.com/support and create a service request you should be able to email the circuit to us.
