NI Circuit Design Suite 10 Crash on Simulate

No matter what project we have open, when we try to go to "Simulate" then "Run", we receive the a crash notice.  This appears in the error log.

Faulting application multisim.exe, version 10.0.144.0, faulting module mfc71u.dll, version 7.10.3077.0, fault address 0x00024f91.

We've tried repairing the installation, and uninstalling and reinstalling completely.  I've also downloaded replacement copies of mfc71u.dll and that didn't work either.  Any thoughts?

Hello,

What's your operating system? Are you using Multisim Student/Educational or Power Pro?

Regards,

Sorry for the delay in response.  We are running Windows XP SP3.  It's the full professional Multisim that comes with Ultiboard in the Circuit Design Suite package.

Hello,

Try the following:

  • Uninstall your current version.
  • Download version 10.0.1 (10.0.343) here.
  • Install and activate this version.
  • Run a simulation.

Let us know how this works.
