I have attached a circuit that a student of mine was working on. A parameter sweep was performed with a DC Operating point analysis. The component varied is the load resistor. The desired output to analyze is the current IRL and voltage VRL (Vout++ - Vout --).
Using the circuit provided the desired results are achieved.
However, when Resistor RL is disconnected form both nodes, rotated 180 degrees and then reconnected in its new configuration, strange results occur.
Keeping all parameter sweep settings as they were, a negative current is now observed for RL. If you add IR3 as part of the output, it is correct.
Any thoughts or ideas as to why this is the case would be appreciated.

Hi LawrenceEDM,
This is a pretty weird behavior, I'll check if this is a known issue. Have you seen it using a different analysis? Another version of Multisim?

Haven't noticed this before, but really wasn't looking for it either.
Thanks for the response.

Hi LawrenceEDM,
This is definitely not expected, I will fill a Corrective Action Request and let you know the ID so you can take a look at the Readme file of future releases in case it's fixed.
Thanks for addressing this issue.
