Hi.
I have made network installer from NI Circuit Design Suite 10.01. Its installing fine when i use setup.exe with parameters. Is there any way to install this software "Per-machine" type? Our end users are not admins in their computer, so they cant install anything. We are using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, so any information regarding this would be very nice. Oh and the desktops are Windows XP, sp2 and sp3.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Whisper,
After you made a network installere for NI Circuit Design Suite through the NI Volume License Manager, what happen when you tried to deploy it through the Microsoft System Center? Did you get any error message and can you elaborate on the problem you are facing.

Hi.
When i look desktops task manager i see setup.exe and soon
msiexec.exe processes running, but after few minutes they just stop
(they stay in the list, but doesnt do anything). If i start
installation from server myself, everything goes fine. Seems like, if i
start setup with system account, setup stops oddly. I tried this with
psexec too and same happened. Setup has been "running" over night, but
no results. If i kill setup.exe from task list, config manager says "A failure exit code 1 was returned"
Im driving these setups like this
call \\server\NICircuitDesignSuite10_01\Circuit Design Suite 10.0.1\setup.exe" /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes
call \\server\NICircuitDesignSuite10_01\DCD-Mar08-1\setup.exe" /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes
call \\server\NICircuitDesignSuite10_01\LabVIEW 8.5.1\setup.exe" /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes
call \\server\NICircuitDesignSuite10_01\NI ELVIS 3.0.2\setup.exe" /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes
call \\server\NICircuitDesignSuite10_01\SignalExpress 2.5.1\setup.exe" /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes
Hope this helps, sorry for my bad English 😞

Hi Whisper,
Sorry, I won't be able to help you with this one because I don't have any experience with Microsoft System Center. I think this question can be better answer by Microsoft. I don't see a problem with the way you run the silent install and since you are able to install Multisim with the installer file, there is nothing wrong with it.08-29-2008 03:38 AM
Hi and thanks for answers!
Does anyone else used any distribution software to install this package? Any help would be very nice.
