Thanks for your help. I was able to split a groundplane on a new layout using the same technique I had tried to apply to an older Ultiboard 10 layout. Intersting that it worked as expected on the new layout, but I still can't make it work on the older layout. I had removed some copper lands from the groundplane prior to trying to split the plane; I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem I experienced. I really don't need to split the groundplane on the older layout, but I wanted to do this as an exercise for future layouts.
Is this a feature that has just been fixed on the most recent update? Do you provide release notes to list any feature changes and/or bug fixes with each new release? If so, where can I view them?

You can see the release notes if you go to the v10 installation directory, look for the documentation folder, and inside you will see the HTML files for release notes... changes and fixes are listed there. In my computer is:
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite 10.0\documentation\Readme_eng.html

Hi Popman,
I see the problem with the polygon splitter in your file and the work around is to delete the copper plane and then replace it again. I will forward your file to R&D and let them have a look at it.
