I have the same version and I have never encountered this. You might want check and see if the variants may have accidently been changed. Other than that I would have to see your circuit file to try and recreate it. If you could post your circuit then I can take a look and see what may be occurring. If you can't post your circuit because of security or other concerns you can either e-mail it to me at lacy@cwv.net or contact NI Support through the web or e-mail.
I use the component properties all the time to view pin assignments and get access to the component information and I have never had this happen.

Just so the NI Support Teams will know. I have taken care of this situation off-forum and I did find what was causing this users situation.
I will contact one of you about this privately. I will not reveal any details about this user's circuit, but you need to be aware of this situation and maybe investigate why it happened.

leef_me,
The Variant Manager somehow got corrupted, so there was not a "Default1" variant which is the default. If you go to the Tools > Variant Manager dialog, you'll see that is empty, create a new variant, leave the default name and click Close... go back to your circuit and all components should be assigned to the newly created variant... save your circuit that should do it. If some components are not included, you can assign them using the Spreadsheet View... on the Components tab, scroll all the way to the right and you'll see the Variants column, make sure all components are assigned to the default one.

Thanks nestor,
I learned that from lacy. Guess it wasn't made obvious to the rest of the group.
The funny thing was that I think it was caused by moving a part and then hitting ctrl-X a few too many times.
There was something about "unable to read non-existant file."
