i make a simple circuit with a relay, i have a scr to latch and energize the relay.
the circuit works no problem, but when i put a diode across the coil like we always do with relay coils,
it gives convergence error.
i have version 11 student edition, and cant change the ERC rules.
what can i do, it is very frustrating that a basic circuit wont work.

here are the same circuit, with and without the diode.
i sent this in to national instruments and they said they dont have an answer for this problem.
only that since i have the student version i cant turn off the ERC rules.

Hello fusseltier,
if you are using probes instead of the instrument no error happend.
Please let me know if this helps.

wow, i didnt think to try to remove the meters. in my old electronics workbench i could have all the meters and test equipment i wanted in a circuit and it worked... unfortunately i cant get that program to work anymore, and have to use the student version of multisim and its limitiations.
thanks, i'll try to not use meters, but i hope when i really need one it works.
