tvsop footprints

Solved!
Go to solution

Looking for footprints for TVSOP parts (aka MO-194 or MO-153) (e.g. TVSOP14 == SOP40P640X127-14N, TVSOP16 ==  ...16N etc).

Has anyone done those - parts in this size are now very common e.g. SN74AHC14DGV.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

I haven't found the footprint you're after however you can follow the product seggestion link below and suggest it so it may be included in future versions.

Also, you can actually create your own custom footprints. Follow the link below to see a step by step guide.

I hope this has been helpful.

Kind regards

Hi Dave,

I would take a look at the PCB Matrix LP Viewer/Calculator if you're not already familiar with it.  It's a free tool that provides IPC-compliant dimensions for land patterns.  I was browsing through their database, and noticed that they already have many standard TVSOP packages in the surface mount nominal library, but it is simple enough to use the calculator if you do not find the exact packages you need.  They also have an export tool that will automatically create the land pattern for you in Ultiboard, which is especially useful if you find that you are always creating them manually.  There's a link to a DevZone article on how to do this here:  Accelerating the Creation of Custom Land Patterns.  Otherwise you could use the Part Wizard to create them manually.

david_c_partri… ,

Just to clarify the LP Wizard calculator is free, however I do believe the export tool is not.

Also here are the TVSOP parts you've requested - these are Ultiboard shapes only but can be used to easily create TVSOP variations of components.   I've placed them in the community page.
