We're proud to announce this release of TestStand, TestStand 2025 Q3, a special release aimed to deliver Nigel AI Advisor. This complements several other releases this year. In TestStand 2025, improvements have been made to increase support for .NET 8.0 and Python, Git integration, and more!

Nigel AI Advisor

Nigel is your intelligent test and measurement assistant, built on the NI platform to help you boost your productivity. Access Nigel directly from the Toolbar button. Describe a task in natural language, and Nigel provides detailed guidance on how to find settings and examples, with helpful rationale.

• Find the right example, which can be a time saving starting point for your test application.
• Expand your knowledge, learn TestStand concepts, get a short summary of long, complex documentation topics to grasp the main points more quickly.
• Quickly find the right dialog box or menu to customize TestStand without spending time searching on your own.
• Nigel also answers questions about NI hardware, such as connector details, pin functionality, etc

Specification integration

With TestStand 2025 Q3 you can reduce the time it takes to create a test sequence by importing specifications from an excel file or SystemLink Specifications Manager. You can,

• Automatically create simple steps like LabVIEW, Python, MeasurementLink steps.
• Automatically create sweep loops when there are multiple parameters & conditions to be tested.
• Automatically create variables for test parameters & set limits.

Python 3.13 Support

TestStand now supports executing Python code modules using Python 3.13.
