Deploy Files In TestStand User Directories

I creating a deployment in TestStand and I have a question about the "System Source' tab in the Utility.  In the workspace that I'm building, I've included all the files that need to go to their respective \user folders.  I'm getting these files from configuration management (CM), and not from my PC's \user folders.  Am I correct in that the checkbox labeled "Deploy Files in TestStand User Directories" would get all the files I have in my PC's \user folders, thus conflicting/duplicating those files I'm getting from CM?

Hi MrBean,

Your question was answered by Teds in your other forum post.

You are correct that enabling the option, Deploy Files in TestStand User Directories, will collect all the user directories.
This includes the User folders in:

- <TestStand 4.0>\Components
- <TestStand 4.0>\UserInterfaces
- <TestStand 4.0>\CodeTemplates

If you enable the option, and include a file with the exact path to a User folder in your workspace, the Deployment Utility will not duplicate the files. Therefore, it is unnecessary to enable the option if you already included the file in your workspace. Of course, you may also check the behavior by looking into the directory tree in the Distributed Files tab.

Hope this helps Bean.
