I have installed TestStand 3.1 but there seem to be a problem with the software. If I try to run any example sequences it gives me the following error.
Make sure the server is registered with the system.
Error Code : -18351; An error occurred reading an ActiveX Automation server type library.
Location: Step 'Send Model State Message: 'Initializing'' of sequence '
I had 2.0 on the system earlier and then 3.0 . 3.0 was almost immediatley removed(without using) and replaced by 3.1.

Hi,
did you install the Teststand to the same directory or are they in the defaults eg TestStand2, Program File\National Instrument\ TestStand3.0 etc.

I uninstalled 3.0 and then manually deleted the folder Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand3.0
Also there was nothing from 2.0 installation.
After this I installed teststand 3.1.
Thanks

Hi Ray,
I was able to fix the problem.
The type libraries and other registrations won't happen because of certain permissions in regedit which would have been thrown out of gear by some previous installations. In my case it happened due to crystal reports that was being used by the user who had this laptop assigned to him

You can read more on the fix on the above link. How I could trace the problem to this link was because in my case also no type libraries and dlls were getting registered.
Thank you so much for your help.
