Proper LVBITX file uses

Solved!

Hi NI Community,

I am currently creating/developing an RF Power and Frequency Sweep for my UUT. At the moment I am trying to test how to manually use the RF source and receiver using our tester and as I manually do this I encounter this selection (Image attached).

Actually I tried selecting each of it and no error occur. I just wanted to know the difference of each and the proper file to be selected. Since, while allocating resources from my pin map this selection also appears when I set-up my VST resource (PXIe-5646R).

When using a VST, just use the NI-RFSG for the generation.  I like to use RFmx for the receiver, which is a useful library used on top of NI-RFSA.

You should be selecting NI-RFIC if you want to control the RFPM (Port Module), in RF STS setup, you would always have Port module with VST and hence you should always use the NI-RFIC as bitx file for the VST (RFSG and RFSA).
