I've made an update from some Step Types that I've created in a computer into the TestStation. The name of all the files inside those Step Types are written in capital letters, but when I try to edit the Step Type under TestStand, this one tells me that he can not find it. For example, I have a VI with name "FrozenPictreTest.vi" associated with a Step Type. Then I say, specify module and TestStand cannot find it in its place because for TestStand "FROZENPICTURETEST.VI" is a different name as in small letter. Can somebody tell me how can I solve this problem? Thanks a lot!
Hi Ray, The path to the VI is already in the TestStand search. I've also entered manually the path and when I show TestStand the exact directory where the VI should be, TS cannot find the VI although it has the same name (but in capital letters).
Angel - Would you be willing to attach an example sequence file and the VI that shows this behavior, so that we can see it? Also, tell us what version of TS, LabVIEW and OS you are using.
Hi Scott and Ray, I'm using TS 2.0.1, LV 6.1 and Windows 2000. I attach you a the VIs of a Step Type that I'm using and that TS cannot recognize because they are not written in small letters.
Your Edit panel vi is called edit_frozen_picture_test.vi but you have specified edit_frozen picture test.vi which is why it can not find it. The case doesn't matter but you do need to match the characters used in the name.
OK, thanks a lot. Anyway we've received this time already form the production line but this time compressed with Zip. When I extract the files all the names are as should be at the beginning, not in capital letters. Thanks again,
