Variable Pane at runtime will not "Stick"

Hi Guys,

I had TestStand configured to show me the variable pane at both edit and runtime.  The other day, at runtime, I changed the variable pane to be set to "auto-hide", but have since decided I like it better always on.  The problem is I can't get it to stay showing, not on auto-hide. It shows at edit time, but at runtime it always starts hidden and I have to show it and click the thumbtack to get it to stick.

Am I missing something? Why can't I get it to just always show?

Thanks!

Hi christopherdean,

I think if you added a screenshot of what your current configuration looks like at both edit and runtime, that would be helpful for our understanding.

The default should look like this:

runtime_execution.jpg

You could try resetting the UI configuration, found under View >> Reset UI Configuration... That should bring back the default settings. I hope this helps!

There is a known issue with the auto-hiding of panes on execution documents. Try the following:

1) Restart the sequence editor.

2) Use the View->Reset UI Configuration... menu item.

3) Exit and restart the sequence editor.

The above should put things back into the initial state.

Hope this helps,

I don't know exactly what I did, but it is back to how to how it was/how I want it, so I will just avoid auto-hiding it in the future.

dug9000, I may have done something similar to your recommendation.

Thanks guys.

No problem. The issue with autohiding a pane on an execution document will likely be fixed in a future version. Execution documents are the only place where you should see this issue with the auto-hide feature.
