Where can I define the location of my custom frontendcallbacks.seq file?

Solved!
Go to solution

I have made some changes to my frontendcallbacks.seq file and I would like to place the custom file in a new location. I cannot find where the path is defined.

Thanks,

Toby

Toby,

You didn't say which version you are using, but if its 4.1 then you can put your frontendcallbacks.seq in the Components\Callbacks\FrontEnd of the TestStand Publics area.

If it's any other version then in the <TestStand>\Components\User\Callbacks\Frontend folder.

Hope this helps

Sorry...I am using 4.1 on Vista. I realize I can put it in the public directory and that works great. I'm wondering if I am able to put it somewhere other than the public directory and then point TS to it? If I can't it's not a show stopper, but it would simplify my life a bit.

Hi Allen,

Are you and NI dealing with such a feature in future releases ?

If this is possible all TS machines in the production field could access via Network file drive

the same frontendcallback file. So an updating would be more sufficient.

It is possible to change the public directory to a network path or another local path by changing a registry key.  Read: How to Configure a Custom Public Directory for TestStand 4.1 and Later knowledge base article.  Link: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/42A0D8B0DCEC64FE8625744F007F3A6D
