Why are the latest TestStand and VeriStand versions are not compatible?

Why does NI constantly do this ... new 2025 versions of TestStand, VeriStand, and LabVIEW ... very nice ... lots of new useful features 😊

BUT they can't be used together ... I have to go all the way back to 2023 versions ... so I lose all the bug fixes and enhancements. No mention of this on the web other than they have to all be the same version since TestStand lives on LabVIEW (and can support up to 4 previous releases) but once you throw in VeriStand you are stuck 😖

There newly released VeriStand Steps for TestStand 2025 Q2 you would think works with TestStand 2025 Q1 ... but it doesn't ... it gives you the options to still for additional versions from 2021 to 2023 ... and shows installing steps for VeriStand and VeriStand 2023 (if selected) ... but it doesn't really do it.

It also gives you a command line tool to run that allows you to select which version of VeriStand to support (2023, 2024, and 2025) but errors out with a message that says make sure TestStand is not running since a required DLL could not be loaded if you select anything other than 2023.

I have been waiting to update are HIL system from 2020 until all the 2025 releases were released but I now find out I could have done it a long time ago since the versions are not compatible and not sure if it is worth spending the time for no notably capability improvements.

I wish the installers or documentation would mention the compatible versions and some place that would provide a roadmap of when they will work together.
