teststand 64 Bit csv results file

Hi,

I've found an example of exactly as I want, but it does not work on a 64 Bit system. Someone has tried to explain how they got it to work, but I don't understand (recompiling modelsupport2.dll)

Does anyone have a working example of how to get a csv results file generated using 64 bit TestStand?

Cheers, and a happy 2016

Hello Ian,

Can you link to/specify the example you're referring to? I believe you will need the full version of LabWindows/CVI to edit this dll (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/BDCFF803C06349D586257773007213FD?OpenDocument), do you have this software?

Hi Jake,

Thanks for the reply and a Happy 2016.

Unfortunately I don't think you have quite understood my problem!

I have followed the link you provided, but this does not appear to help me at all!

I have a full development version of LabWindows/CVI and have tried to edit the DLL to get it to work with a 64 Bit system, but have FAILED, hence the request in the forum!

Is there not a 64 Bit version of this DLL available, as in my eyes this is really a NI responsibility?

Please either point me to a 64 Bit version of the DLL, or provide me with help to edit the existing version of the DLL to get it to work with my TestStand Sequence.

Kind Regards

Hi Ian,

My apologies, your first post wasn't very descriptive so I was not sure what your problem was but I now think I understand what you're experiencing difficulties with. Can you give me a bit more information so that I can better assist you with the issue? I'd like to know if you have the 32 bit or 64 bit version of TestStand, and what steps you've done thus far.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do and editing dlls can be a bit risky, can you please link me to the example you're using as well as the page suggesting editing the dll so I can better understand what it is you would like to do.

Best regards,

Jake

Hi Jake,

Let me explain:-

I have developed a TestStand sequence using the 64Bit version and Labview 2014. All is working well, apart from the results are currently being created in HTML format. My manager wants the results to be in CSV format (Excel). The standard version of TestStand I have does not support results files being generated in CSV format. I went onto your website and found I was not the only person asking, and found the following example:-

http://www.ni.com/example/30854/en/

I downloaded the example ZIP file, read the Readme .txt file, and tried to run the example sequence. This resulted in a TestStand Run-Time Error being generated "The DLL is a 32-bit DLL and thus cannot be loaded by 64-bit TestStand".

modifiedmodelsupport2.dll

I then looked at the "Customer Reviews" connected to this NI Example, and realised that the DLL needed to be recompiled for use with 64-bit.

I tried to do this using my 2013 version of CVI, but not having used CVI for many years find myself unable to convert this code.

So, I either need help converting this DLL OR one that has already been converted, OR some other NI solution.

Regards...

Hi Jake/Ian,

Was this ever resolved?

I have TestStand 2017 and I am trying to close out on the CSV file generation. I have an old csv file report generation used in TestStand 2010 but this isn't importable.

Any assistance would be great thanks.

Regards, Simon
