what is error 39 on GPIB-ENET???windows2000/nt 1.2

I have a test stand and I am running windows 2000 version 1.20 and my GPIB-ENET IEEE488 is giving me an error 39. What is this error and how can I fix it?

Hi there,

I have a few questions regarding your error.  When does this error occur? Does occur when you try to identify the device on the network? Does it occur when you try to run a command in LabVIEW or your code?  Also, do you have any more specifics regarding the error code, any additional numbers, any specific resources returning the code?  Could you post a screen shot of the error code? 

In your post you mention version 1.20, is this the version of the NI-488.2 drivers?  If so, you may want to update your GPIB drivers, you can download the latest drivers here.

The error pops up right when we turn the GPIB on and I can not send a picture.

Can you describe the error in any more detail?  Is 39 the only number associated with this error? Have you tried using the GPIB-ENET device with other systems?  Is this error unique to this system, or does it occur with other systems as well?  Any other detail you can provide would really help.

A few more questions.  What is throwing this error code?  Is the GPIB device sending it (through a series of LED flashes?), or is Measurement and Automation Explorer or LabVIEW or Windows throwing the error?  More information would really help.  Thanks!
