Did you mean:

Code in my SCTL will not run

Greeting,

System:

Development PC: Win 7

Labview Version: 2011

PXIe-8133 Controller running RTOS

NI 7965R Flex RIO card

NI 5781 FAM

Most of the coding we do involves the RTOS on the controller and the FPGA on the FlexRio card, however because we cannot simulate the RTOS and FPGA code at the same time it sometimes becomes necessary to code on the Development PC and FPGA and simulate that way.

Eventually we have to bring the code back to the RTOS-FPGA realm and this is where we having this issue.

We have simulated code in the FPGA and have now started running it on Xilinx FPGA on the 7965R.

However, the code that we included from the simulation does not run on the 7965R.

We have the code in a SCTL running at a derived 150Mhz clock (derived from the 40Mhz onboard)

We have placed an indicator on the "Loop Iteration" block in hopes of seeing some movement, but have not seen anything.

Anyone seen this before?

Thanks,

Jose

Greetings,

Some progress I would like to post.

When we upgraded to 2011 the FAMsupport software did not support the 5781 Clip.

see: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/DDA7A5F9C331D23A862578F8004F7705

I did not see this as a potential problem to using a SCTL with a derived clock coming from the FPGA.

However the same link above shows updated FAMsupport software for 2011 and the 5781 Clip.

I updated the software and and the code began to run in the Loop!

How they are related I don't know.

We'll see what other upgrade surprises are next.
