Generating DC using PXI 5412

Hi ! All,

I program the PXI 5412 for AWG & FGEN application.
I can generate various waveforms like sine, triangle, square, ramp & noise.
I'm trying to generate a DC signal of say 5V amplitude.
I'm able to get it correctly for 0V. But for any non-zero value, I cannot see the rise in amplitude of the DC signal in the CRO.
I've wired the "Standard Function"  constant to the output mode terminal of the  niFgen Configure Output Mode.vi
What is the solution for this problem?
I'm able to capture all the other waveforms at desired amplitude with desired offset too.
So kindly clarify me regarding this.

Hello Parthabe,

One thing I need to clarify here. When you try to output a standard DC value, the DC offset is the input that specifies the DC value of the output and not the Amplitude input. To be able to output a 5V DC value, then you would need to wire a value of 5 to the DC Offset input. Please let me know the outcome of doing this.

Hi Ayman,

You are absolutely right & many thanks to you. I'm getting exactly what I wanted.

Problem was my application requires Zero Offset for the other wave types.

Moreover, can anybody clarify whether PXI 5412 can  be used for DC generation at all in Standard Function Generation Mode

Thanks & regards,

Partha.

Parthabe,

What I was referring to earlier is for the niFGEN Confgire Standard Waveform.VI (where you have to use the DC offset). Are you referring to the arbitrary waveform mode instead?
