PXI-1006 system crahes-Blue Screen

Problem: System Crash - Blue Screen - PXI 1006

I am using NI IPX-1006. Environment: Win NT 4.0 with CVI 5.5.
Problems
1. Everytime the system crashes the .Prj file is lost from the project folder.
2. This time nipalk.sys and nibffrk.dll got corrupted (no entry point found). I replaced those from other system. The corrution message do not come anymore, but as soon as I try to run my test program, it crahses again ....

Blue Screen Message: "KMODE_EXCEPTION-NOT-HNADLED ...Adress FD337FAC has base address at  FD327000-NYPALK.SYS ..."

Does anyone has any solutions/ update!

Thank YOU.

Hi delowar,

When is your system crashing?  Is it only when you're running a specific program or when you open the Measurement and Automation Explorer & are you using any hardware (data acquisition, GPIB, etc.)?

Furthermore, is this crashing behavior a recent development or is this a freshly assembled/tested system with this problem?  Thanks!

Hi Anna:

Primarily it crahses when I open the Measurement and Automation Explorer (as well as run when I run application which uses Digital IO-PXI-6527, GPIB, Relays PXI-2565..). It is NOT a new setup, but the problem is new. Initially it was related to "failure to find entry point to a dll >> nibffrk.dll". Then I copied the dll from another  PXI-1006 chasis and replaced in this machine. But problem is still there!

Please note the environment is as follows:  PXI-1006 chasis with PXI-6527, 2565, 6070, 4060, 5102; OS WinNT 4.0 - CVI 5.5-Measurement and Automation Explorer 2.0. In my application I am using NI-DAQ driver.

Should I reinstall the machine ?

Thank you very much.

Hi delowar,

Yeah, it may be useful to re-image that machine.  Are you using a PXI controller or a MXI interface back to a desktop/laptop?

Hi delowar,

Yeah, I think the re-image may be our best bet at this time.  Let me know if this doesn't work for you.  Thanks!
