PXI 6602 & Incremental Encoder Measurement

I have a PXI Chassis including PXI 6602 Timing I/O. I am trying to measure angular position of a shaft by using an incremental encoder. I am using an external power supply for the encoder and the supply voltage is between 15-30V. I connect the Channel A and B and Z index to the required PFI pins but i couldn't read a valid data from Labview.

Also about the timebase, which selection is suitable for this application?

While i am using continious sampling i am facing the error "The data was overwritten....use another DMA...." like that. Please help.

Thank you for posting to the NI Forums! Is there a specific error number that is associated with the error you are receiving? Also, there are many examples on the Developer Zone at ni.com that discuss encoders. Please take a look at this one for angular position.

As far as the time base is concerned, let's discuss that more after we have more information on the error you are receiving. If there is not an error number, could you please post a screen shot of the error so that we can get the exact wording? Thanks!
