Dear All,
I am trying to generate a UTC-GPS synchronized waveform (50 Hz) using the Arb PXI 5441 with the PXI 6682.
In particular, I would ask a solution that allows to solve the two following issues:
a. 5441 10 MHz clock synchronization with the one of the 6682;
b. synchronization of the 5441 output with the 6682 GPS Pulse Per Second (e.g. for a 50 Hz waveform I could generate 50 20ms time period sines triggered by 50 PPS)
The hardware I am using follows:
1. PXI Chassis 1042Q5. Software: LabView 9.0.1 (2009 SP1)
Many thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Mario

Hi, Mario.
Please note that the PXI-6682 is not able to generate a 10MHz clock that is disciplined to GPS. What you can do is have PXI_CLK10 driven by the PXI-6682's higher-stability 10MHz TCXO, but this 10MHz signal will be free-running, not disciplined to GPS.
Then you can set up the PXI-6682 to generate a 50Hz clock on a PXI_Trigger line or a PXI_Star line (I am not sure which the 5441 supports). That 50Hz clock will be synchronized by GPS.
Another thing to note is that the PXI-6682 uses TAI (not GPS or UTC) as its timebase, so there is an offset of a few seconds. There is more information about that here:

Hope this helps.
